YOU WANT A FLUID COLLABORATION WITH A BUSINESS PARTNER WHO IS ABLE TO GET THINGS DONE ACCURATELY, AND IN A TIMELY MANNER. YOU WANT SOMEONE LOOKING OUT FOR YOUR BUSINESS AS IF IT'S her OWN BECAUSE SHE'S JUST AS PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR MESSAGE AS YOU ARE.
That’s why you’ve landed on my page.
But the truth is that this kind of relationship cannot be developed in 5- or 10-hour blocks. It takes dedication and ownership, and you trying to figure out how many hours you have banked with me, or if you have enough work for me this month, isn’t going to get us there.
Because let’s be honest: some months your business may be busy with all the things, and other months you may have a lull. That’s the natural course of business these days. I get that, and I’ve structured my business to reflect that.
And because you are a heart-centered entrepreneur, who is also a feminist, you understand that this hourly model doesn’t allow for growth or stability for my business. When I get good at something, I do it more quickly, and that shouldn’t result in a pay-cut for me and my business. Instead, that should result in me being freed up to dedicate myself to other, deeper aspects of your business. The more we grow together, the deeper our partnership will become.
Spending time tracking hours and invoicing multiple clients individually at different times of the month based on usage makes me a slave to the tracking-clock, rather than a partner in your business. The truth is that most OBM’s go out of business rather quickly because they soon realize this model is unsustainable.
I’m in this for the long-haul. When I partner with you, it’s for a long-term relationship.
I have chosen to run my business by charging a simple flat monthly fee, billable on the 1st of each month, without the option of rollover hours. This gives you the flexibility you need in your business, provides me with the opportunity to plant deep and solid roots in your business, and gives me the chance to run a long-term successful business that partners effectively with yours.
Really, it’s a win-win.
